A castle made of stars in twilight
Between a magical curtain of dusk and dawn
A sparkling luminescence of unmoving fireflies
On a flowing tapestry of a moonless night
The sight fills his heart with warmth
A shade of memory passes his mind
Of a loved one so dear to his ailing heart
I see him again
I see the love again
The enchanted fireflies break from their reality
Swirl,dance to a symphony unheard
Almost bursting with star-like brilliance
They form into a figure He knows too dearly of
His eyes dilate,heart pulsates
His aching fingertips almost feels its presence
His palms together cupping the air
Holding on to the grains of memories
That slowly start to slip away
His arm tighten, veins bulge in agony
To no avail
the memories fade away
Thru the crevasses of his fingers
An overturned hourglass of fleeting memories
of something that once was but
never to be again.
