Chains

Years have past ,
unnameable mistakes made,
all these chains on my shoulders
arm Thick metal chains
glistening black, innately cold
twist,slither around me
whiplash trail of cold burns
blistering pain racing thru the core
shoots up a frostbitten spine
 its vise like grip unfaltering
choking air out of lungs
bones crackle, pop,sinew contort
at its whim,at its pleasure
under the mind numbing weight
legs shiver,buckle
the mind buried under inches of pain
as a dark veil falls on double vision
a body fails,crumbles
folds into itself
a muddied pile
blood,guts,misery
